APBR Says Goodbye to it’s First Ambassador

This week we said goodbye to one of our amazing Ambassadors.  Ruffles suffered from severe infection from her emergency surgery to remove an obstruction in her belly.  Despite best efforts by her foster mom, our veterinarian and a surgical specialist, it was determined that her condition was beyond medical intervention and there was nothing more that could be done. Sweet Ruffles was released from this world on Saturday, August 18, 2012, and will always have a special place in our hearts.  She was a very special girl, the first dog in our program, and a true ambassador for her breed.
From her foster mom:

This morning we said goodbye to our foster dog and hilarious sidekick. She was part of our family for nine months and we miss her terribly. She had the biggest smile, incredible snuggling skills, and always made us laugh. Ruffles, you didn’t have a chance to find your forever home, but you’ll be forever in our hearts.

Ruffles and her foster family are in our thoughts.
